When corrupt officials cover up the murder of Ella’s father, she cuts a swath through the anachronistic underbelly of her small island town. A Tubi original movie.

Brainchild of director Max Isaacson and writer Tony Borden, this punk, tropical western takes place in a parallel world where six shooters still live on the hip and kids prove themselves like cowboys. It also explores inequality in a post colonial world.

Produced with Ian Morland and BLIMP, we developed the script and cast intensively in 2020 and 2021, and shot in Hilo, HI in Nov. 2021. We worked with the Hawaii film office to maximize the “Neighbor Islands” tax credit. As a production strategy we used most favored nations payment for cast and crew to create a fair and equal working environment even on a low budget. Starring Patricia Allison, Tate Donavon, Bashir Salahuddin, Arjun Gupta, Adam Lustick, Myles Evans and Tia Carrere.
