I created the promo videos for the Race to Alaska from it’s inception. We aimed to strike a tone that had the right mix of humor and a very serious call to adventure. I really enojoyed working with Jake Beattie (race creator), Daniel Evans (Race Boss) and Josh Colvin (actor and race founder) to strike the right tone and to keep innovating. We kept the look scrappy to match the race and our budget. And we created this fictional character, the sort of patron saint of the R2AK…etc. etc. And the WA360, a different race developed in response to the pandemic when the race couldn’t cross the border.
